Day One

Our first day began with a photography class where we learned the ins and outs of basic photography.  The two big takeaways for me were to simplify my focal point and to watch for lines--arcs, diagonals, frames, etc.  I will keep these techniques in mind as I snapshot the remainder of the week.  I've decided to challenge myself to see if I can simplify, watch for lines, and focus on color. Below are some of my practice shots.  Let's just say I won't be quitting my day job.  The kids are far more talented than I am and I enjoyed seeing their photos much more than reviewing my own!
