Day Three

It was another beautiful day in Seattle!  To start our morning off right, we rendezvoused at Caffe Zingaro and admired the work of local photographers while we sipped our morning joe.  After the last sips of our coffees were downed--because no one waits for coffee to get cold in Seattle--we meandered through the Seattle Center, photographing each memorable statue and landmark along the route to the Experience the Music Project.  Let me tell you, the EMP did not disappoint!  Some of the standout themed exhibits were Nirvana, Fantasy, Horror, and Legos (still not sure what Legos have to do with music, but it was impressive nonetheless).  A daring group of girls even recorded a jam session!  After we played, listened to, appreciated, and, well fully "experienced" music for a couple of hours, we worked up quite the appetite.  We headed to experience the culinary arts sensation known to Seattle foodies as The Armory.  Calling this bevy of takeout hotspots a food court just doesn't do it justice.  Our taste buds took a virtual tour of Italy, Greece, and the deep South.  One dish even included a "Wazzle" which is a pizza waffle hybrid and is apparently "amazing".  Our hunger sated, we then made our way to the Seattle Repertory Theatre to see Peter Brook's The Suit.  It was a wonderful day of arts for our group.  From culinary to visual to performing arts, we truly experienced a full spectrum of arts.  On the docket for tomorrow is The Lion King... stay tuned!
