Day Two 2016

We began our day by participating in the audience at New Day Northwest.  The show was travel themed and we learned how to pack efficiently, when we would need travel insurance, and where to go for a weekend trip in Washington.  Local model Ebonee Davis provided fitness tips and talked about her travels as a working model, including a recent trip to India.  After the taping, we had a chance to tour the new King 5 news studio, learning all about the world's largest Microsoft Surface (called the HUB) and even trying out the anchor chairs.  Around noon we headed out into the glorious sunshine to wander the Seattle Center.  We lunched at The Armory (Mod Pizza and milkshakes were the heavy favorite) and then toured the Experience the Music Project.  At the EMP, we saw Macklemore's Downtown video on the big screen and nearly 600 pieces in the Hello Kitty collection, including a mini fridge, a surf board, and many, many tiny, pink backpacks.  We closed our day with a trip to Caffe Zingaro where we sipped iced chai tea lattes, cappuccinos, and hot chocolate in the shadow of the Space Needle.  It was a great second day!
